Happy New Year to everyone reading here!
This is a very special New Year beginning for me. For the first New Year in 5 years, I am hopeful of seeing another day, month, year... of living. I've been suffering with diagnosed, end-stage Morgellons disease -- (also misdiagnosed as several other diseases). But no matter the specific name/label, I've been told by 4 different specialists over these last 5 years that I'm in end-stage of whatever disease they believed I have; I am dying; and they cannot help me. For almost 3 years now, I've had palliative in-home nursing/wound care. I'm currently in a Canadian University Research Study of Morgellons disease. Yet, about 5 months ago, ever so slowly, bit-by-bit, I'm finally, seeing some healing. George and I are finally, genuinely hopeful, as this New Years Eve begins another measure of our future.
Beyond an explanation for my sparse postings here for so long, I'm writing this to offer hope to those suffering and to ask all of us to give thought to how we interact with each other beyond any specific context; for the attitudes and beliefs we each bring to our shared conversations, responses, synergies, have an affect. Knowingly or unwittingly we each influence each other as our self-energies impact the moment-by-moment further reaches of collective human reality, to shape changes in each other, and in this world.
We all plant the seeds of tomorrows' experiences, personally and collectively -- corporeally and in-corporeally. Compassion, kindness, caring, sharing... are daily choices, and if we truly embark on our Self-to-self learning, igniting our individual passion for creative, sustainable living, those choices become the natural, effortless and often invisible life-prints of our growth, as personal evolution, and humanity's redirected course of development. When we afford hope to anyone, even to our self from our Self, we change the world... So, may this New Year be filled with hope, in the giving and receiving, for all of us.
Emily Dickinson - 1830-1886
Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me. ******************************************** May this be the beginning of a future filled with the very Best of Health and Happiness, Peace and Prosperity, for all of us. Hope fully, in Joy and Cheer, Thankfulness and Compassion. Happy 2020!
